It is with great pleasure that we announce Unitek Solvent Services as Oahu District’s First Quarter 2022 Adopt-A-Highway Champion. The company began participating in DOT’s Adopt-A-Highway program in June 2021 to clear the highway along Oahu’s west-facing shores. In just six months, the Unitek team collected 137 bags of trash! Their dedication of time and effort has been instrumental in helping us to achieve our mission of keeping our storm drains and oceans clean.
“Unitek Solvent Services and all its employees take pride in taking care of our community,” said Josiah Freitas, Unitek team member. “The Adopt-A-Highway program gives Unitek an opportunity to show the community that our company is invested and involved. We know that keeping everything green and clean is a must!”
By helping to take care of their community and environment, the team hopes they can inspire others to do the same. They encourage everyone to find a program or project to help them become that positive change. Seeing the impact Unitek Solvent Services has had in such a short period of time demonstrates just how much can be accomplished when we work together.
