Congratulations to the Mile-A-Day (MAD) Moms of Micronesia, HDOT Highways, Oahu District’s Second Quarter 2020 Adopt-A-Highway Champions!
Their route is along Kamehameha Highway from Paumalu Stream Bridge to Waialee Stream Bridge.
“As residents of our beautiful Aloha State, it is our joint responsibility to keep it beautiful, clean and maintained. Adopt-A-Highway is an extension of this civil responsibility, an effort that calls for the collective will of individuals, organizations and communities to work together in order to mobilize and secure the right resources for a sustainable effort in our quest to keep Hawaii clean and beautiful.
As an Aloha road maintenance team, we gladly undertake this task to allow our roads to be free of unsafe debris alongside our roadways. We are committing ourselves to volunteer work on a quarterly basis to not only enhance the health of our environment but also improve the safety of our roads for all users.”
Special thanks to the volunteers of Mile-A-Day (MAD) Moms of Micronesia, for their efforts in helping to prevent trash from entering our storm drains and protecting our waters. Mahalo for your commitment to the Adopt-A-Highway program!
