2024 Q3: AAH-084 307th Expeditionary Signal Battalion – Enhanced
Congratulations to our DOT-HWYS Q3 Adopt-A-Highway Champion, AAH-084 307th Expeditionary Signal Battalion – Enhanced! The 307th ESB-E soldiers cover a 2-mile segment along Highway 99, from Dole Helemano Plantation toward the North Shore. During an average cleanup, they collect 7-14 bags of trash.
“Cleaning highways strengthens our community ties and proves that we are good stewards of creation,” said a representative from the group. “Hawaii is a very sensitive and fragile ecological state. A great number of vulnerable wildlife species are being driven closer to endangerment and extinction due to increasing plastic pollution and debris in the ocean.”
